Meet Dr. Ike Anderson

Dr Ike Anderson PhotoDr. Anderson knew from the age of 11 that he was meant to become a chiropractor. “The natural healing and proactive aspect resonated with me compared to other healthcare fields, and even from a young age, the vocation never wavered.”

Growing up, healthy living was a way of life in Dr. Anderson’s home. “My mother believed in essential oils, juicing daily, wheat grass shots, colloidal silver, and chiropractic care. It was instilled at a young age that we have been blessed with a God-given ability to heal naturally and that background really drove the desire to change lives.”

A Moment That Mattered

While studying at Sherman College of Chiropractic, Dr. Anderson recalls a powerful first-day lecture from Dr. Rossi. He shared the story of adjusting a girl who had been in a coma for six months. After Dr. Rossi adjusted her, she woke up in his arms. That experience, though not Dr. Anderson’s own, had a major impact. “It was a defining moment for me that solidified why I was beginning my chiropractic journey.”

Growing up, Dr Anderson believed a chiropractor’s main purpose was to re-align the spine for better mechanical function, which is partially true. Over time, he came to understand that chiropractic care supports the body at a much deeper level. By influencing the nervous system, adjustments can contribute to the body’s function down to the cellular level. Since we experience life through the nervous system, its proper function plays a major role in our everyday health.

A Natural Approach to Care

Warm, approachable, and grounded, Dr. Anderson helps patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. He says people tend to notice his friendliness and personability first. His goal is to guide each individual toward better health by working with the body, not against it.

What he finds most fulfilling about being a chiropractor is seeing the positive change firsthand in someone’s life and helping them pursue their health goals.

Outside the Office

Before chiropractic school, Dr. Anderson served six years in the Army as an M1A2 Abrams tank driver. He now enjoys a slower pace in the great outdoors. Fly fishing, dirt biking, bow fishing, snow skiing, and duck hunting are some of his favorite ways to unwind.

He shares his life with his wife Samantha, a North Carolina native, pilot, and devoted animal lover. One of their favorite pastimes is taking long scenic drives through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
